Well I did say for everyone to comment again since the whole old comment database was a bit messed up but I did not assume that people would just spam the hell out of the blog. I just deleted 30 spam comments made by about 5 different people.

It is annoying but thankfully I was able to detect them and I deleted them as soon as I could. So please if you want to make comments, do it peacefully and in a non-spammy way otherwise it will be deleted without explanation or notification!

I cannot believe it but this is actually the 111th post. I also can’t believe that I forgot to post about the 100th post which was our goal. And now I am happy to announce that our goal has been reached and beaten by 11 more posts.

This is great news for the Mira Vieja blog. As I was having fun posting tons these days I completely forgot about how many posts this blog has and it just slipped my mind. I am happy that I finally noticed or else I would probably be posting about the 150th or even 200th post.

Well our next goal is 200 posts and again we are 11% there.

I tried to fix the comments that were deleted but unfortunately I was not able to fix them. The database just got rid of them all and I was just not able to restore the comments at all. I did try but the current database would not read these comments.

I don’t know if I have to do anything in my admin panel but I have never done this before. Don’t know if I have to run a script or something but I am sorry for those that lost your comments. Feel free to make them again.

Earlier today while Moderating comments I did something horrible and deleted all of the comments without noticing. I accidentally selected all comments and clicked deleted. It was my fault and I am sorry. I will try to get those back.

My Son knows a bit of SQL and he may be able to bring back all the comments like they were never gone. If your comment was deleted I am sorry but I will do my best to bring them back up. And if your comment was deleted on purpose it was because it was full of spam.

I am happy to say that we are indexed in Google not once, not twice, but 66 times. We only have 91 posts counting this one and one page which is the About page and a few pages for the posts. It is amazing how we have 66 pages already indexed.

Hopefully the 100th page indexed will not be far since we are so close to hitting our goal of 100 posts, we will definitely have more than enough links to be indexed in google. Google should also bring us decent amount of traffic from all these indexed pages.

I am happy to announce that tomorrow it is estimated that the MiraVieja blog will hit 5000 page views. It has hit over 4800 already and it has been only 14 days so it is safe to assume that another 200 will be done tomorrow.

We are averaging nearly 350 pageviews a day where some days we have gotten well over 500 and on others we have gotten less than a 100. But at the end it all evens out and it looks good.

I am happy that MiraVieja is expanding in the internet world and it is attracting more and more visitors.

We are 80% done towards our goal of reaching a 100 posts. I hope to reach the 100th post by the end of the month if not by the end of next week. I am posting more and more posts daily because of the amount of free time I have these days. Hopefully Nothing will slow me down.

I will have to go back to work soon but in the meantime I will be working on reaching that 100 posts and then our next goal would be 500 then to a 1000 which will hopefully be reached by next year. 1000 Posts is not an easy thing to do for any blog but I will try my best to do that and reach that goal. Wish me luck on this!

Well we have about 5 posts that are in the “Uncategorized” Category and I cannot believe I didn’t categorize them. Now I just have to look back to where they belong because I don’t believe Uncategorized should be a category at all because it doesn’t make any sense.

That’s just my homework for tonight and then I have to look over a few of the drafts that I made and change the categories there as well to make sure I don’t accidentally uncategorize them again.

Lately this blog has been getting filled with spam comments and I am asking those that actually take their time to do this and expect the comments to be approved to stop. I personally moderate all comments and all spam will be marked as spam and deleted. All IPs are recorded down so once you are identified as a spammer, don’t expect to be able to post a comment in the future that will get approved.

If spam comments do not go down in the future, precautions such as setting up Captcha or even making it so only registered users can comment will be taken. Such precautions will dramatically decrease commenting but as long as spam comments go down, it will be worth it.

I am happy to announce that the Mira Vieja Blog has made its 50th post which is this one. We are half way into making triple digit post counts which will hopefully happen soon since the post count per day has gone up dramatically over the past few weeks.

I am happy to call this blog mine and I am happy to have reached this high post count because 50 posts for any blog in just over a month is high. And people say posting once a week is good enough on a blog but I proved them wrong and do several a day if possible.
